It's 2024 and it appears it's still not possible to restore complete folders somewhere else, as the program complains it can only copy folders within the same shared folder... Not very useful, I will need to look for an alternative.

If anyone had issues like me. Go to Control Panel and Shared Folder>Select folder>Edit>Advanced Permissions and uncheck the Enabled Advanced Share options. Or allow guests to Read/Write.

Never buy synology people. I bough the ds1522+, it locks me out of the system. I'm not able to access my files for months now. This nas constantly says i don't have the right credentials. This product is absolute garbage. NEVER BUY SYNOLOGY. I will tell everyone i know to never buy products of synology.

What if company goes out of business or find.synology becames unreachable, can I still set up my NAS ?

Need help. Videos more than 1GB backed up failed due to insufficient storage. How to fix?

Assuming the recordings during the failover period is stored in the storage space of the failover server, I have a couple of questions here: 1. Will the recordings in the failover server during the failover period be able to transfer back to the storage space in the recording server after it's back online? 2. Will the failed over footage be on the same timeline in the Monitor Center under the same recording server, or should I find the failover server to view the failed over footage that is stored in the failover server? Inserting a picture in a document is pure horror. You won't be able to grab the picture and position it anywhere.
